I volunteer.

I’m a member of the Greater Los Angeles and Central California chapter American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. AFSP is a national nonprofit organization committed to saving lives and bringing hope to those who have been affected by suicide. Through scientific research, educational awareness and public policy advocacy, AFSP creates a culture that's smart about mental health.

Advocacy Day

Our annual advocacy day brings together suicide prevention advocates from every state to urge public officials at all levels of government to prioritize suicide prevention and mental health.

Out of the Darkness Community Walks

Held in hundreds of communities across the country, community walks are the core of the Out of the Darkness movement, which began in 2004. These events give people the courage to open up about their own connections to the cause, and a platform to create a culture that’s smarter about mental health. Friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers walk side-by-side, supporting each other and in memory of those we’ve lost.
